About Kitvert

Kitvert makes free calculators and Google Sheets templates for quilters, handmade and Etsy sellers, and freelancers, plus a few paid spreadsheet kits that are on the way.

What's here

The calculators answer the questions that come up mid-project: how much fabric a quilt needs, how wide to cut the binding, what an hour of freelance work has to cost, what an Etsy order leaves after fees, and how many sales pay for a craft fair booth. They run in your browser and don't ask for an email. The spreadsheets, among them an inventory tracker, an invoice, a simple bookkeeping ledger and a tax set-aside sheet, are free too; you leave an email address and the file is sent to it. The calculators and spreadsheets each have a page listing everything.

A small number of larger spreadsheets will be paid, one-off purchases, such as the Seller Back-Office Kit and the longarm rate planner. Their pages say plainly whether checkout is open. For software sellers there is also a separate set of n8n workflows and Notion templates under Kits.

How the numbers are checked

Every calculator shows its formula on the page, usually with a worked example you can type in and reproduce. If the answer on screen and the arithmetic written underneath ever disagree, that is a bug. Where a page depends on someone else's figures, such as Etsy's fees or US self-employment tax, it links to the primary source (Etsy's own fee pages, the IRS, business.gov.au) and says when the figures were last checked. Fees and tax rules change, so the date matters, and the input fields stay editable so you can put in your own rates.

None of it is tax, legal or accounting advice. The tax set-aside sheet, for example, holds back whatever percentage you choose; an accountant is the right person to tell you what that percentage should be.

Found a mistake?

Email hello@kitvert.com with the page and what looks wrong. A wrong formula or an out-of-date fee is fixed on the page, and file changes are listed in the changelog.

What Kitvert doesn't do

There are no ads on the site, and your data is never sold or rented. Your email address is used to send the files you asked for and occasional product updates, and every email has an unsubscribe link. The privacy page lists exactly what is collected and which providers handle it.
